Lisa Kearney is the 2023-2024 Hoover Elementary Teacher of the Year!
Lisa joined Team Tulsa in 1997 and has been teaching kindergarten at Hoover for 15 years.
"I started out wanting to be a nurse, moved to psychology but worked in a day care while going to college. I just loved going to work; I was getting paid to play. I love working with students so I found my passion in teaching and stuck with it!"
Lisa said we are all learning all the time and there is always room for growth.
"I love researching new ways to help students progress and have fun learning. Teaching can be a challenge, but with proper preparation and the right attitude it can be successful."
Outside of work, Lisa loves spending time with her family.
"Life is what you make it, choose happy!"
